An urgent eye appointment is necessary when an individual experiences sudden changes or issues with their vision or eye health that require prompt evaluation and treatment. Timely care can prevent serious complications and preserve vision.

  1. Sudden vision changes
    • blurred vision
    • loss of vision in one or both eyes
    • sudden onset of flashes and floaters
  2. Eye injuries
    • Trauma to the eye, including scratches or foreign objects.
    • Chemical exposure or burns.
  3. Sign of infection
    • Redness and swelling around the eye.
    • Discharge or excessive tearing.
    • Pain or discomfort in the eye.
  4. Headaches or migraines
    • Severe headaches accompanied by visual disturbances
  5. Unexplained symptoms
    • Persistent eye discomfort or sensitivity to light
    • Change in colour perception

They may be symptoms of a serious ocular condition that requires attention as soon as possible. Please call our clinic at (778) 938-1289 during office hours and we will do our best to accommodate you on a walk-in basis.

Will MSP cover for my urgent appointment?

MSP will only cover exams that are medically required. We will suggest you to talk to one of our staffs for more information.
